The end of the school year is drawing to a close. It’s that elusive time when summer is almost within reach but first a maze of school plays, graduations, band concerts and dance recitals. To be honest a small part of me misses this time during my own primary school days but another part is really looking forward to my child experiencing them. This was her first year dancing and she has loves to put on a show. My electronic devices are filled with performances of her singing songs from her favorite Disney Films.
But my daughter seems to have been bit a little harder than me. I realized I might need to do something about it when I caught her using my camera tripod as a makeshift microphone a few days ago. Telling her she wasn’t allowed to use my expensive camera equipment as a prop in her show nearly broke both of our hearts.
It made me realize I could probably create something a little more fun fairly easily. Sure enough I found a really easy tutorial for a DIY Microphone using glitter, glue, toilet paper rolls and foam balls.
And KLS Crafts has a easy No Sew Stage Curtain. If you want to make it even easier hang up a sheet or crepe paper streamers and throw on a boa!
