How many of you have the Talking Tom Cat app on your phone or are familiar with it? It’s one of the first apps on my smartphone, that I downloaded to distract and entertain my children. I’m a little embarrassed to admit it, but even as adults, my friends and I have used it and had him repeat some “inappropriate phrases” just for laughs. Of course, with over 600 million downloads of Talking Tom and friends, I’m probably not the only one!
Well, guess what, Outfit 7 has launched the Talking Friends Superstars, a first-of-its kind app-powered plush toy line! These cuddly animals use the Talking Friends apps (Talking Friends Superstar app, I Want To Be Big, Talking Tom Cat 2, Talking Ginger and Talking Santa) to talk and interact with each other! There will also be several new Superstar-supported apps debuting in the coming months, with one expected later this month.
A cool feature of this toy is, there’s no set-up required and you don’t need wi-fi or Bluetooth for the toys to work! Which is great for those times when you’re visiting Grandma or another relative that lives in the sticks, and doesn’t have wi-fi!

Talking Tom is a clever kitty, and since I’m allergic, probably the only type of cat our kids will ever own. Even if you don’t have the app or your kids aren’t familiar with the characters, Talking Tom Superstar, Talking Angela Superstar and Talking Ginger Superstar, work with apps and without. Designed to have personality traits of the Talking Friends characters, each plush is loaded with catchy tunes, witty riddles, amusing jokes and a number of whimsical sounds.
Every character has different things to say, when alone or when engaged in hilarious conversations with another Superstar friend. If your daughter has an Angela and son has a Tom, they’ll each have their own personality, but can also interact with each other.
