I consider myself a fairly crafty person but the creative bug never hits harder than around the holidays. Christmas is probably the worst time. Decorating the house and baking cookies are a must do, day long event. But what really pushes my DIY buttons are creating things like my own gift tags, tree ornaments (a tradition I just started with my daughter this year) and my own table decorations too. At the same time, I don’t want spend twice as much making them as I could buying them in the store. This is where my trusty ink and rubber stamps come in hand! With them I can take a piece of cloth, a clump or flour, or a plain Jane gift tag and turn it into something my family memebers will “oooh” and “ahhh” over. They spruce up even the most plain red card stock – like you will see below – OR create a truly personalized Christmas Table.
For most of these craft you’re just going to need some basic supplies:
- Rubber Stamps
- Flour + Water for Ornaments
- Card Stock
- Paper or Linen Table Cloths and Runners
- Plain Clay Ornaments
- Elmers Glue
