Does anyone else feel like getting a haircut is a chore? Don’t misunderstand me, I love that fresh feeling when I walk out of the salon and look fabulous, that’s not the part I dread. The issue I have is finding the money, about $70 for my haircut and I have short hair. Add to that what it costs to pay the sitter to watch the kids for two hours. By the time I find a day and time that works for the sitter and my salon, I’m exhausted and out of $100. And that’s just me, then I have to schedule the kids….WHEW! Oh and just to make it a little more challenging, my salon is 20-30 minutes away from my house, if there’s no traffic.
As kids return to school, I can see the anxiety on their mother’s faces as they run around checking errands off the list, especially haircuts for their children. One of my friends, a Mom to three preschoolers, was telling me about everything they had to buy for the kids, like nap mats, lunch boxes, supplies etc. Joking around, I said “you almost need to start planning for the kids school year shortly after they’re born.” She laughed and replied, “that’s kind of true, especially when the kids are close in age and items can’t be handed down and re-used.” Then she added, “don’t even ask what I pay for back to school haircuts!”
Can you relate? Regis Salons understands families have enough back to school chaos to deal with, and so to make things easier they are having a “Haircut Coupon-a-thon.” With these coupons you can score a haircut for $7.99 ($9.99 in select markets)! Wowzer! That’s under $10 and the coupons are valid for kids and adults haircuts! Plus, the coupons are valid through 9/30/12!
Where can you score this fab deal? Fifteen salon brands are participating in the U.S., Canada and Puerto Rico with more than 4,500 locations. Here are the salons: Best Cuts, BoRics,Cool Cuts 4 Kids (participating salons only),Famous Hair, Fiesta Salons, First Choice Haircutters (U.S. participating salons only), Head Start Salons, HairMasters, Holiday Hair, Island Haircutting Co., MasterCuts, Saturday’s, SmartStyle (located inside Walmart Supercenters), Style America and TGF Hair Salons.
Need more than just a trim? Not a problem, these salons are full-service salons offering additional services like highlights, color, perms, waxing and more.
So, what do you need to do? It’s easy, peasy! Just visit the Beauty Bargains blog, enter your name and zipcode and print your coupon. If you have trouble printing your coupon, send an Email to departmentcs@regiscorp.com with the salon brand you’d like to visit and they’ll send you a coupon.
I’m not sure what I love about this offer the most, that it’s affordable or that it’s so easy. With this coupon, our family of four, can all get haircuts for less than what mine normally costs and eat out for dinner. Another bonus: no appointments required, means less hassle for me. If we’re out running errands and my 2 year old is in a good mood, then we can just pop in and get a trim! Plus, it gives us a chance to check out a salon closer to home. Now, I can look forward to haircuts, and with the money I’m saving take the family out to eat too! It’s almost like I’ll have the day off and that never happens, LOL.
