A stroll through the mall will find pairs of sparkling, twinkling toes. It seems girls 6 to 13 are going crazy over Twinkle Toes footwear by Skechers. They have even over run the mud room of my aunt’s home. Her resident fashion diva has 3 PAIRS! In her words “they are sparkly, neat, and shiny. Plus, they make her run really fast.” I don’t know about making her run any faster but I can agree with the first part. These shoes are almost like works of art.
Did you know that there is a movie inspired by these awesome shoes? Daughters can join Grace “Twinkle Toes” Hastings as she headlines her first-ever, full-length feature film, Twinkle Toes: The Movie.
Twinkle Toes: The Movie is a sparkly, fun-filled adventure that made my niece get up and groove! Grace “Twinkle Toes” Hastings has a big secret: she gets terrible stage fright in front of anyone except her fluffy friend Walter. It’s unfortunate because Grace has an amazing dance ability – even her dance teacher sees it. As Grace works to overcome her fears, and makes some super-cool friends at her new school, she discovers being herself is an amazing way to be.
Twinkle Toes was a sweet, feel good film that pleased not only my cousin but my 2 year old as well. They found Grace’s dancing infectious and numerous times they got up to dance along too. The movie is one they wanted to watch again and I didn’t have any problem saying one more time! Grace Hastings is a girl that kids can identify with and shows kids that it’s okay to be yourself, have confidence and dream big. Plus, the movie encourages kids to step out of their comfort zone. It sends a message parent’s will appreciate and kids need to hear.
