First things first – the look of this is super cute, and goes along perfectly with the other Sunnyside Safari products we have. Totally gender neutral, so we can use this same set whether our next child is a boy or a girl. The colors are super bright and engaging. Perfect for little ones :)

I would like to start off by saying that this took me literally 2 MINUTES to get together. If I was a little better at these things, it could have taken me less time. By FAR the easiest baby gear I have had to put together. This and the matching swing are phenomenal in that regard!
One thing I really love about this is the bassinet is zippered in, and you can leave it like that when you fold it up for travel. Super easy! Grandma doesn’t have to mess with any crazy contraptions! The zipper is also really nice compared to the bassinets that clip on to the sides. This feels much more secure, and looks a lot cleaner.

Also, the floor of the bassinet is much more sturdy than some of the other playards I have tried. They usually end up buckling in the center, but this one is totally flat the entire way across. I liked setting him up in his boppy pillow with the play yard next to the computer desk so we could hang out while I surf the internet. He started to grab on to the side of the yard and stand up – GOOD because it taught him to pull himself up for the first time! BAD because I had to take the bassinet down so he couldn’t fall over. I actually felt guilty because he was really learning to love standing up that way.

That being said – If your little one is getting close to sitting up I don’t recommend leaving him in the bassinet without TOTAL supervision. But – being on the floor of the playard is also really nice. It is super soft and has just the right amount of padding to keep him comfy AND safe. The design is also really cute, I don’t want to cover it up with a sheet! I also like that when my son lays down he can actually see out of the mesh sides. He likes to be able to watch us when we do dishes or other things around the house. Some other playards have mesh sides but the visibility is really low, and he tends to get a little crazy if he can’t see us, so this was a nice feature.

The toy bar is nice, and it matches all of our other Bright Starts Sunnyside Safari gear :) The colors are bright and it’s far enough away that he can’t grab on to them. The changing table is nice and sturdy as well. The playard itself has grooves on the sides that the changing table fits into perfectly. It seems much more safe and sturdy than some other ones. It’s soft and comfy, and my son fits in there quite nicely!
There is one pocket on the side that holds just enough – a few diapers, wipes, and even a few toys. The non-bulky design makes it perfect for folding up, packing in the included travel bag, and bringing over to Grandma’s. The wheels on the bottom make moving around the house super easy as well!

I can fold this up in about 2 minutes flat and easily toss it in the trunk of my car. It really is that easy. The last cool thing about this play yard is the little hidden pocket under the floor for keeping all of the safety and registration information at hand. That way you never have to dig through boxes or folders to find it. Just another simple feature that Bright Starts thought of to make our lives a little easier.
I absolutely stand behind this play yard for its price, value, quality and design. Whether you leave it in one spot of the house or take it with you for travel, the value cannot be beat!
The Sunnyside Safari Collection is exclusive to Wal-Mart.

I really like and appreciate the visibility factor. My son could not see us when he was lying in his play yard, so this is a terrific feature.
I like that is can be easily assembled and can fold down in 2 minutes. I hate messing with the sides and trying to get it to fold up.
Love the review. It was thorough. Appreciated the pics and your safety tip about not leaving the baby unsupervised once they can sit up. Lots of good info.
Love the pocket on the side and folds up quick and easy
LOVE THIS! It’s so cute! and I love the “can fold this up in about 2 minutes flat” Awesome!
