Free RedLaser App
After 6 sleepless nights I had enough. My daughter was moving from the crib to the big girl bed. No just any big girl bed – it had to be Dora or Fairies. After the 4th store without finding a single toddler bed (I would have settled on any at this point) I was resigned to another sleepless night.
Then my sleep deprived brain became desperate and started to function and I grabbed my iPhone. Flipping through app folders I found RedLaser. Aha. Mommy’s life saver and secret weapon.
With RedLaser I could scan or search for items to find all the information I need, including product details, ratings and price comparison. I had used it a few times before and I can only think my sleep deprived brain just wasn’t thinking.
I had finally found a fairy bed 20minutes away. With RedLaser I could see which stores had it in stock, compare prices and even buy it right from my phone and pick it up in store. I was so determined to get a good nights sleep I purchased it right on the spot and then drove to pick it up.
I have used RedLaser more and more frequently since then. I can use it for more than just retail shopping too. With RedLaser
I can also :
- Scan and search for products using the bar code scanner.
- Browse product reviews and ratings.
- Create shopping lists (or wish lists!) and share them with friends and family via email, Text, Twitter and Facebook.
If you start thinking outside of the box you can make this app do so much more for you too. For instance by scanning food items you will find allergen and ingredient information. My aunt started using RedLaser to find Gluten Free items for her daughter but it wasn’t long before she was fully utilizing the app.
I also found that when creating shopping list it didn’t take much more to price check the items I added. Then I could find the best store to go to. You don’t have to get crazy – if you’re only going to 2 stores that day you can just pick which store offers it at the best price.
Red Laser is a staple in my “Shopping” folder on my phone. Best of all RedLaser is free to download on Android or iPhone.
