Florida is one of my all time favorite vacation locations so I’m always on the lookout for great Florida vacation deals. I did not vacation much growing up, or at least we didn’t travel far if we did, so vacationing as an adult is a really appreciated event. I truly believe and advocate in saving money in your daily life on every day items, so that you can afford to travel with your family to make lifelong precious memories.
Unfortunately, as your family grows, so does the cost and expense of travel. One great way we have found to make Florida vacations more affordable is to go through Florida Vacation Auction for booking our hotel and/or resort stays.
The Florida Vacation Auction website allows you to bid on popular Florida hotels and attractions at a savings of as much as 80% off rack rate. It’s completely free to register and bid on vacation. If a bidding war isn’t your thing, they also have what is called a “Buy Direct” option, which offers a flash-sale type savings at 20% or more off retail without having to participate in the auction. The site is very easy to use and very “what you see is what you get”.
Everything is properly disclosed right up front in each listing and there are no additional costs or handling fees added to the price of the winning bid. There are no hidden “reserve” amounts and what really gives me peace of mind is that all reservations are made directly with the hotel or resort – not thru any third party or company. They are an official partner of the Visit Florida website, and are in conjunction with a direct partnership with each hotel/attraction listed. Florida Vacation Auction is also accredited by the Better Business Bureau with an A+ rating!
Auctions are run on a weekly basis, and end each Sunday evening at 10 p.m. EST. They even host a special live chat on their site from 8-10pm EST just in case you have any last minute questions before making your purchase/bid. New auctions appear each week, so if you plan far enough in advance, you can wait and bid on the perfect hotel/attraction that you have in mind.
