What are Swagbucks?
Swagbucks is a way to earn points (Swagbucks) by doing the things you normally do online – like perform a search. Just use their search engine and earn Swagbucks that you can redeem for prizes. They have a ton of prizes to choose from, but the most popular is a $5 Amazon.com gift card (only 450 Swagbucks).
You get a 30 Swagbuck bonus just by signing up and can win more every time you use their search engine (which is just like Google, Yahoo, etc). Just go about your normal searching and wham! all of a sudden a screen will appear saying that you’ve won anywhere from 10 – 50 Swagbucks. I usually win once in the morning and again in the evening.
You can add even more to your account with Swagcodes (codes that you find in their newsletter, on the toolbar or in a fun Swagcode search they usually put on a few times a week). They just added surveys to their site too!

I think it’s a great way to earn a little extra at something that you do every time you’re online anyway. I still prefer Google as my main search engine, but I just try to remember to do a couple searches a day over there to earn the points.
I spent all my points on Christmas presents last year (boy did that really help out!!!). Right now I’m saving up my Amazon Guft Cards so we can buy a new mattress :) I have a long way to go, but hopefully we’ll be able to get one by summer!

Thank Heavens for Swagbucks! I save mine up too. This year, they are all going for Christmas. Dec 26th & On, they will go for “the House” =) Never thought of a mattress & Boy do we need one too! What a Great Idea.
I love Swagbucks! I had a few thousand bucks and I spent them all trying to win an itouch =P No luck. So now I’m back down again, I’ll probably end up buying an amazon gift card soon, I have the points for a $5 one, but I was thinking about saving up for the $25 one I think it is. It’s just such an easy site, one day I was searching (and it wasn’t even Mega Swagbucks Day) and I got 49 Swagbucks. I about died that had never happened. Lately I’ve been getting 10 or 11 so it’s not too bad =)

Hi Megan – just to let you know, I recommend getting the $5 cards, then the $50. The $5 are the best “deal” (points to dollar value) and the $25 card is the WORST. Don’t waste your buck on that :)
You know you should have a birthday freebies section. Benihanas, Schlotzkys, Fire House and a bunch of other places all give you freebies on your birthday if you’re a member of their free club. ( Tomorrows my birthday ;-) )
