Plastic Jungle is a great place to turn those gift cards you win or earn from places like Swagbucks or Mypoints into something you could really use…cash. Or you can trade them for a gift card to Amazon.
It’s pretty easy, you just enter in your gift card information (store and amount) and they give you an immediate cash or amazon gc offer. For instance, I put in that I had a $25 Babies R Us card and they offered me $17.50 in cash or $18.38 at Amazon.
Buy Gift Cards at up to 35% off to really “stack” your savings at stores – without coupons!
*TIP* This is a great way to “stack” your savings for stores you shop at often. What I mean is for example, we shop at Lowes AT LEAST once a week. If we go ahead and buy the discounted Lowes cards from Plastic Jungle, I am saving myself an instant 7% – no coupons required :) Then when we actually spend the gift card at Lowes we will use our 5% off coupon to save even more!

Ive been buying gift cards from there for a couple of years. I buy them throughout the year and then I’m not hit so hard at Christmas time. I kept track last year and I purchased a total of $987 that I used to purchase gifts at Christmas for only $633.I love to buy jcpenny ones because combined with the great coupons they send you or their 15% off survey you can snag some fantastic deals early on Saturday mornings. One example. Before Christmas they had a Paula Dean set of pots and pans as an early Saturday special. The pans were originally $189 they were on sale for $99 with a $40 rebate. I had a 15% off coupon so they were now $85, I used a $75 gift card that I had purchased on eBay for $52 so now I it’s like I am only paying $62 for them….then I sent in the $40 rebate. …$22 bucks for them was a steal.
Another example….UGG boots never go on sale. They were $200 so I used 4 gift cards with a $50 value that I had snagged for around $40 each and paid $160…not a huge bargain but on these I felt pretty good. I always have gift cards in my purse. I even buy Lowes ones and use for home improvement projects.
I have found on eBay and on plastic jungle they sell for more when the demand is higher certain times of the year. Purchase the ones you plan to use for Christmas shopping mid summer. I don’t limit my cards to just shopping I buy movie and restaurant ones too. It’s just a great and easy way to save money. And great for gifts too. Hope this helps. Happy saving!
