I can’t believe I almost forgot to tell you guys. I mean, of course you guys would have known by Friday, but how did I miss telling you guys this AWESOME news last week?
Disney has chosen 15 lucky ducky bloggers from all over the US and invited them to a fun, fantasy filled weekend in Hollywood for the Red Carpet Premiere of Gnomeo & Juliet – and I am one of those chosen to attend! Yippppeeeee!!!!
I’ll be MIA Friday 1/21 – Sunday 1/23, but will be updating everyone with photos and snippets of my mini adventure via Twitter and Facebook. (I’ll be relying on you guys to be sure to share the deals you find with everyone else on the CCM Facebook wall, okay? I know I can count on you!!!) If you want to keep up on Twitter, feel free to search for the hash #GnomeoandJuliet
They have such an exciting list of events for us, including a very special round table interview with some of the stars from the movie – Sir Elton John, James McAvoy, and Emily Blunt! Yep, you read that right – I’ll have the chance to ask EJ (can I call him that?) a question or two – and I’d LOVE for you guys to help me out!
If you could ask Elton John just one question, what would it be?
(Ben wants me to ask “Boxers or Briefs?”. I like it!)
Want a sneak peak of Disney’s latest adventure, Gnomeo & Juliet? Here is the official movie trailer:
The greatest love story ever told, starring…garden gnomes? In the upcoming Gnomeo and Juliet, Shakespeare’s revered tale gets a comical, off-the-wall makeover. Directed by Kelly Asbury (Shrek 2) and showcasing both classic and original songs by Elton John, the film features the voices of James McAvoy and Emily Blunt as Gnomeo and Juliet, who have as many obstacles to overcome as their quasi namesakes when they are caught up in a feud between neighbors. But with plastic pink flamingos and thrilling lawnmower races in the mix, can this young couple find lasting happiness?
Two garden gnomes, Gnomeo (voice of James McAvoy) and Juliet (voice of Emily Blunt), try to avoid tragedy and find a happy ending to their star-crossed love affair when they are caught up in a feud between neighbors.
Gnomeo and Juliet comes to theaters February 11th, 2011 and stars Emily Blunt, James McAvoy, Michael Caine, Maggie Smith, Jason Statham, Patrick Stewart, Ashley Jensen, Stephen Merchant. The film is directed by Kelly Asbury.
