Wow – that was pretty good. After my last post about totally failing yesterday, I opened up my TurboFire Box and went through the materials. I Just LOVE how many different DVDs there are and the variety of workouts. There is an awesome 20 week calendar you can follow, and also a Hybrid program if you want to do the Chalean Extreme Workout as well! (Which I do have too)
There is an awesome 5 Day Inferno Plan that is designed to cleanse your body and change your eating habits. Supposedly if you stick with this plan, you can lose up to 10 lbs and 10 inches in 5 days. Now, I think this program is designed for people who have been using TurboFire for a while because the workouts get pretty intense. But it comes with a 5 Day meal plan and recipes, which I really like. So I think I’ll try it out and just do my best to keep up with the workouts or make sure I incorporate other activities to make sure I am getting in the cardio to go with the meal plan.
*newsflash* I am not as coordinated as I thought I was. TurboFire is a fun, intense workout – but very choreographed. I did the Fire 55 EZ class and was so glad that I wasn’t in a real gym with REAL people next to me. It was embarrassing enough seeing myself flail about like a fish out of water! But that is exactly what is so awesome about this – instead of giving up or getting upset, I just stopped trying to do all the turns and fancy moves and just concentrated on making sure I did the same amount of punches and kicks and lifts just plain facing forward. This way I was still doing the moves and getting the intensity out of it, but it just didn’t look all that fancy :) I also spent 20 minutes doing some light weight lifting (biceps and shoulders).
I feel great right now, we’ll see how I feel tomorrow! I am actually supposed to start a Bikram Yoga class with a friend tomorrow so I’m a bit nervous about that.
I’ve been entering my daily intake at CalorieStory – it really helps to account for your food each day. I’m always surprised by how much or how little I eat. And I know it sounds silly, but it totally reminds me to drink water too because I see that little 8 glasses a day down in the lower left corner :) Have you guys been using this and what do you think of it so far?
I also went and logged my workouts at the Team BeachBody website, as well as took and entered my initial measurements so I can see my progress. This is a totally free tool that anyone can use – just create your free Team BeachBody Online Workout account here. (If you want more tools and to be able to customized meal plans and shopping lists you can upgrade to the Club Membership)
I’m going to make a shopping list for the week’s meal plan now so I can be prepared and have NO excuses for not following through! What did you guys do today?
